Tire Wear

  • Ties Are Wearing More In The Center Than On The Edges:
    You notice that the tires are very worn in the center of the tread, but the edges seem to have plenty of tread left.

    Possible causes:
    1. Tire pressures are too high: Adjust tire pressure to specification.

    2. Tires have not been rotated frequently enough: Rotate tires on a regular basis.

  • Tires Are Wearing More On The Edges Than In The Center:

    Possible causes:

    Lights Not Working

  • Headlights Don't Work:
    You turn the headlights on, but they don't come on. Sometimes these problems may cause the lights to come on, but only blink on and off. The other lights seem to be working correctly.

    Possible causes:
    1. The headlight switch is bad: Replace headlight switch.

    2. An electrical connector has come loose: Clean and tighten connectors.

    3. The connectors at the headlights are corroded: Clean and tighten connectors.

    4. The circuit breaker or fuse for the headlight circuit is bad: Replace circuit breaker or fuse.

    5. There is a short or other problem in the wiring: Repair wiring.

    6. All of the headlights are burned out: It does happen on occasion. Replace headlight bulbs.

    7. Dimmer switch is bad: Replace dimmer switch.

  • One Headlight Doesn't Come On In Either High Or Low-Beams:
    You turn the headlights on, and one bulb doesn't light. It may light only when the high beams are selected or when the low beams are selected. All other lights seem to work fine.

    Possible causes:
    1. The headlight switch is bad: Replace headlight switch.

    2. An electrical connector has come loose: Clean and tighten connectors.

    3. The connectors at the headlights are corroded: Clean and tighten connectors.

    4. The headlight is burned out: Replace headlight bulb.

  • Headlights Don't Switch From Low To High Or High To Low Beams:
    The headlights come on when you turn them on, as do the rest of the lights. However, you can't switch them from low to high beams or from high to low.

    Possible causes:
    1. Dimmer switch is bad: Replace dimmer switch.

    2. There is a short or other problem in the wiring: Repair wiring.
