Lights Not Working

  • Left Or Right Turn Signals Don't Blink:
    When you turn on the turn signals for one direction, they work fine. However when you switch the turn signals to the other direction, the lights do not blink.

    Possible causes:
    1. Burned out turn signal light bulb: Replace signal light bulb.

    2. Corroded wiring to the light bulb: Clean and tighten connectors.

  • Turn Signals Blink Slowly:
    Each time you turn on the turn signals, the blinking is very slow. There is blinking but the slowness of the noise and the light on the dash tells you something is wrong.

    Possible causes:
    1. Burned out turn signal light bulbs: Replace burnt out bulbs.

    2. Corroded wiring in the turn signal circuit: Clean and tighten connectors.

    3. The wrong directional flasher was installed: Install correct flasher unit.

    4. The output from the charging system is too low: Test and repair charging system.

  • Turn Signals Blink Rapidly:
    Each time you turn on the turn signals, the blinking is very fast. There is blinking, but the quickness and consistency of the noise and the light on the dash tells you something is wrong.

    Possible causes:
    1. Burned-out turn signal light bulbs: Replace burnt out bulbs.

    2. Disconnected connector in the turn signal circuit: Clean and tighten connectors.

    3. The wrong directional flasher was installed: Install correct flasher unit.

    4. The output from the charging system is too high: Test and repair charging system.

  • Turn Signals Don't Work:
    You turn on the turn signals in either direction, and nothing happens. All other lights seem to work normally, including the hazard lights.

    Possible causes:
    1. The fuse for the turn signals is blown: Replace fuse.

    2. The turn signal flasher unit is bad: Replace turn signal flasher.

    3. The turn signal switch is bad: Replace turn signal switch.

    4. There is a problem in the wiring of the turn signal circuit: Repair wiring.

  • Dome Or Map Light Doesn't Work:
    No matter if the doors are open or if you turn the dome light switch all of the way on, the dome light doesn't come on. All of the other lights seem to work fine.

    Possible causes:
    1. The bulb is burned out: Replace bulb.

    2. There is a problem in the electrical wiring for the dome/map light circuit: Repair wiring.

    3. The fuse for the dome/map light is bad: Replace fuse..
